Maintaining the cleanliness of your bathwebcon
As the centrepiece of your bathroom, the bathtub is what makes it complete. Having a high quality cast iron bath in your home can help make your house look like a classical and timeless masterpiece.
If you choose to have one of these stellar products in your home, you will want to keep it in top condition. If you keep on top of the maintenance needs and look after it well, the cast iron baths will remain sturdy and easy to maintain. Each bath is uniquely made and as such they each require their own level of care when it comes to maintaining them.
Many people agree that a good way to clean your cast iron bath without harming the enamel surface is to fill the tub with warm water and then add your everyday washing up liquid. This will allow the bath to soak in the mixture. Unlike some other cleaning products the liquid will not cause corrosion and shouldn’t stain the inner surface. Afterwards, use a dry non abrasive cloth to wipe the bath down. This prevents damage to the enamel.
For more difficult stains, you can apply biological laundry powder as opposed to washing up liquid in order for the enzymes to strike any lingering stains. If you find that this doesn’t work, forming a thick paste with baking soda and water can help. Apply the paste directly onto the stained area and leave it for a couple of hours and use a soft cloth to wipe the residue away afterwards.
